The people behind TEDxYorkUSalon are drawn from the Chair in ASD Treatment and Care Research at York University and its partnership with TEDxYorkU, reflecting a university-based, independently organized approach to hosting community salons. Their work brings researchers, speakers, partners, and stakeholders together around ideas relevant to autism, care, and transition across age groups. The salon format gives each presenter a platform for sharing work and lived experience, while interactive sessions and breaks encourage conversation among attendees. By spotlighting innovations in community support, treatment, and research, the team creates a forum where perspectives from universities and the wider GTA can meet, be discussed, and inspire further collaboration in autism-related work.
